| 1. Description |
PM Vishwakarma Yojana is an ambitious scheme of the Central Government launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 17.09.2023.
The objective of the scheme is to provide end-to-end support to artisans and craftspeople working with their hands and tools.
The scheme covers 18 traditional trades/occupations.

| 2. Objectives of the Scheme |
- To provide recognition to artisans and craftspeople as Vishwakarmas.
- To provide skill upgradation and training.
- To provide support for better and modern tools.
- To facilitate easy access to collateral-free credit for beneficiaries.
- To incentivize digital transactions.
- To provide a platform for brand promotion and market linkages.

| 3. Eligibility Conditions |
- The applicant should be an Indian resident.
- The applicant should be an artisan or craftsperson engaged in any one of the 18 traditional family-based trades specified under the scheme.
- Minimum age of the applicant should be 18 years or above.
- The applicant should not have availed benefits under PMEGP, PM SVANidhi or Mudra Loan during the last 5 years.
- Registration and benefits under the scheme shall be restricted to one member per family.

| 4. Features and Benefits |
- Loan up to ₹1,00,000 at concessional interest rate of 5%.
- Second tranche loan up to ₹2,00,000 at 5% interest.
- Skill training through Government-designated training centers.
- ₹500 per day stipend during training.
- Toolkit incentive of ₹15,000.
- PM Vishwakarma Certificate and ID Card.
- ₹1 incentive per digital transaction through DBT.

| 5. Concessional Rate of Interest |
Beneficiaries shall be charged a concessional interest rate of 5%, with an interest subvention cap of 8% borne by the Ministry of MSME.

| 6. Credit Guarantee |
A graded guarantee cover for all loans sanctioned by lending institutions shall be provided through CGTMSE on a portfolio basis.
